My Debut Classic Movie Book!

Friends and Blog Followers, I'd like to announce the debut of my very first book! Of course it's about classic movies and as a matter of fact, called, Classic Movies: 14 Films You May Not Have Seen, But Should. Just as the title says, I discuss some often overlooked gems, movies that I've enjoyed and wanted to share with others who MAY not have heard of or had the opportunity to see. It's on Kindle or Kindle app for android or iPhone. If you like classic movies, check it out!

  1. Congratulations, Rupert! BLACK NARCISSUS would also be among my top films that haven't been seen by enough film buffs.

  2. Thank you very much Rick! Your comment means a lot to me friend. BLACK NARCISSUS is a film I recommend to those dipping their feet into "old" movies.

  3. Congratulations! That's always a thrilling feeling...having your first book available to the public. Do we get a sneak peek at some of the titles you considered among the rare 14?

  4. I take that back..didn't see the Amazon link ( my eyes tend to pass over things that look like ads ). I agree that Black Narcissus and The Mortal Storm are two excellent films...Margie and Kitty use to be hard to find but were worth the hunt and some of the other titles I'll have to explore myself!

  6. Hi Rupert,

I congratulate you as well on your first book, but must say, I think you might get a lot more sales if you add another (for example) 11 films (no small feat I know) to make it "25 Films You May Not Have Seen..."

Nothing personal, but 14 seems like a small, and kind of an odd number.

And keep in mind, that this is written by someone who has never written a book. :)

  7. Good list of films. Nice to see [two] by Leisen and one by Borzage. Interesting addition of a 1960's title too. Keeping us on our toes.
