Happy 94th, Olivia de Havilland!

Born during the first World War, the legendary Olivia de Havilland turned 94 on July 1, 2010. One of the last stars of the golden age, de Havilland has one of the most incredible careers in film history.

Independent Woman published a wonderful interview with O de H last year. I'd like to share it to help celebrate her special day. Check it out by way of the link below.
Happy Birthday Olivia!

  1. Hi Rupert, I’m celebrating my post #100 and I’m going to upload a special-classic-actor-related-thing if someone answers correctly the question I posted. Wanna participate?

  2. Hi Rupert. I was happy to see your tribute to Olivia. She was a truly gifted actress, beautiful and yet never afraid to downplay her looks in two of her best roles, The Heiress and The Snake Pit. I may be wrong, but it seem sto me that a few years ago a list of 100 best actors/actresses was done, and I don't remember seeing her name on the list. Perhaps I just missed it, but it should have been near the top. Happy Birthday to Olivia from me, too!

  4. To my mind her best performances were in the movies The Heiress and The Snake Pit but she was always good. Happy that she's still alive and kicking!
